It will be ok

The pressure starts at a very young age: “What do you want to be when you grow up?”. There might be times when you don’t know, you have changed your mind, your parents want you to study something very specific that doesn’t seem appealing to you...How do you manage this at 10? 11? Or 12 years old?

The pressure mounts even more in high school, as many around you probably already know what they want to study.

Suppose you are someone who is focused on work or having a family and now that you have the time, you want to get that degree you dreamed of but you are now in your 30’s, 40’s or maybe even in your 60’s or 70’s.

Will you find your way? Is it too late? What should you do?

I am here to tell you that it is never too early or too late to enjoy getting a college degree. How do I know? Because at 16 years old I was taking University classes and in my classroom were students that were in their 50’s and 60’s and they had the same fear and excitement I had about it all.

You will find your niche. Even if you do not know what you want to study, you will find your way. The school system is set up so that you can study for your first two years and give yourself time to figure out what you want to do, or if the major selection you made was not feeling like a good fit, you can change your path.

For those of you here, know you are probably a lifelong learner and you have more to offer a class or a career than you can possibly know.

Welcome to this site, and welcome to an exciting new adventure.
